Celebration of the stepping into clergy service of the alumni of the University.

It was a great Day to the university and to the Church of Buhiga when four candidates who were trained at Bujumbura Christian University were ordained deacons and priests in the diocese of Buhiga, this Sunday, June 1, 2025.

The ordination ceremony is a significant event as our graduates took a step forward in their divine vocation and committed themselves to serving Christ and His Church with humility and faith.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Reverend Dr. Pascal Bigirimana, present at the ceremony, congratulated the Diocese of Buhiga and its bishop for ordaining servants who were trained in the Faculty of Theology at Bujumbura Christian University (BCU). In his speech, he underlined the high quality training the university is offering and called on the congregation at the ordination service venue to send their sons and daughters to this university to benefit from the best education it offers.

Reverend Pascal Bigirimana also noted that, in addition to the Faculty of Theology, the university has other faculties, namely the Faculty of Science and Technology, including Computer Science, the Faculty of Economics and Management, and the Faculty of Languages, Administrative and Communication, including Translation/Interpreting and Office Management.

We are proud of the impact of BCU alumni across the country and beyond. May God bless and guide them as they begin this new chapter of their ministry.
