The visit of the chairman of the board in the UK
In early September, bishop Eraste Bigirimana went to the United Kingdom, for a multipurpose visit. Being the chairman of the board of the University, It took most of his concern. On September 11th, he was able to meet the friends of Burundi and partners of the University in the afternoon tea at Durham. He was offered warm welcome by the present audience. The audience included Reverend Steve Muneza and Canon Donald Werner who are respectively oversea ambassador and Vice-chancellor emeritus. Bishop Eraste was invited to have a talk with the friends of Burundi and provide the news about the university.
After Durham, he went to York to meet other friends of the university. Knowing his presence at York, friends from Rotherham came to meet him at York. A team led by Reverend Karen came from Saint Cuthbert's. With Bishop Eraste, they have concluded together an official link between BCU and Saint Cuthbert's.
The University is thankful to God for the wonderful journey the chairman of the board has had in the UK. Special thanks are also addressed to the friends of the University for their commitment to serve God with Bujumbura Christian University.
